Tommy Lee Waller

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Tommy Lee Waller, 56, of Du Quoin, passed away at 4:20 a.m., Monday, Nov. 2, 2009 at his residence.

Tommy had worked as a correctional officer for the Du Quoin IIP. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a member of Du Quoin Masonic Lodge and UMW of A.

He was born July 27, 1953 at Du Quoin, Ill., the son of James L. and Roberta (Quinn) Waller.

He married Cathy L. Overton on June 28, 1975 at Du Quoin and she survives.

He is survived by his wife of Du Quoin, two sons - Trent L. Waller and wife Heather and Brandon R. Waller, all of Du Quoin, two grandchildren - Avery Waller and Camden Waller, both of Du Quoin, his parents - James and Roberta Waller, of Du Quoin, one sister - Gloria Ellermeyer of Swansea, Ill., two brothers - Randy Waller and wife Debbie and Damon Waller and wife Tammy, all of Du Quoin, brother-in-law - Earl Overton and wife Yvonne of Du Quoin, sister-in-law - Cheryl Stanhouse and husband William of North Carolina, and father-in-law - Harold Overton of Du Quoin.

Funeral services were at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Pastor David Krueger and Pastor Phil Nordstrom officiating.

Friends called from 5 to 8 p.m., Tuesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.

Masonic Services were at 8:00 p.m., Tuesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.

Burial was in the Sunset Memorial Park at Du Quoin.

Friends may make memorials to the American Cancer Society (Gliobastoma) or donor's choice and will be accepted at the funeral home.
