Mary Elizabeth Folden

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Mary Elizabeth "Babe" Folden, age 90, of Pinckneyville, Ill., passed away on Thursday, Nov. 26, 2009 at 4:07 p.m. in her home.

Babe was born on Jan. 28, 1919 in St. Louis, Mo., a daughter to Clarence and Bernice (Cressy) Switzer. On May 17, 1941, she married Raymond C. "Fat" Folden in Perryville, Mo. and he preceded her in death on May 26, 1991 after 50 years of marriage. She had worked in dietary at Pinckneyville Community Hospital and had also worked as a caregiver and a homemaker. She was a member of Beaucoup Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, Ill. where she taught Sunday school for 40 years and was active in their missions and Training Union.

Survivors include her three daughters, Treva Montgomery of Springfield, Ill.; Vickie Folden of Pinckneyville, Ill.; and Martha Folden of Pinckneyville, Ill.; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Gerald "Jerry" Folden; son-in-law, Tom Montgomery; infant sister; and step-father, Hugh Campbell.

Funeral services were held in Beaucoup Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Monday, Nov. 30, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with Brother Mark Lee and Brother Raymond Baggott officiating. Interment was in Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, Ill.

Friends called at Beaucoup Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
