Mary Lou Hargett

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Mary Lou Hargett, 87, of Du Quoin, passed away at 7:25 a.m., Sunday, Dec. 13, 2009 at the Fairview Nursing Center in Du Quoin.

She was born at Elkville, Ill. on Sept. 10, 1922.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Du Quoin. She had been a Sunday School teacher for many years for the 7th and 8th grade boys and girls class.

She was the loving wife of Charles Hargett of Du Quoin.

She was a loving mother and is also survived by one brother and sister-in-law, six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, seven great great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and two sisters.

Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 17, 2009 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Joe Wagner officiating.

Friends called from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.

Burial was in the Sunset Memorial Park at Du Quoin.

Friends may make memorials to the First Baptist Church Building Fund and will be accepted at the funeral home.
