Armetia Ethel Lanum

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Armetia Ethel Lanum, age 92 of Du Quoin, Ill., passed away on Sunday, Dec. 20, 2009 at 4:43 p.m. in Marshall Browning Hospital, Du Quoin, Ill.

Armetia was born on July 20, 1917 in Du Quoin, Ill., a daughter to Wade and Mary (Reddick) Ramsey. She married Theodore Houston Lanum, Sr. in St. Louis, Mo. and he preceded her in death. Armetia was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church, Du Quoin, Ill. and was retired from Country Set in Du Quoin, Ill. She enjoyed attending church and spending time with her church family, but she especially loved taking care of her family and being a mother and grandmother.

Armetia is survived by three sons, Theodore (Marsha) Lanum, Jr. of Huntington Beach, Calif., Jerry (Edith) Lanum of Washington, D.C. and Terry Lanum of Du Quoin, Ill.; one daughter, Donna Moss of Indianapolis, Ind.; three grandchildren, Anita, Marrisa and Whitney; three great-grandchildren, Tiffany, Christina and Darren and one great-great grandchild and numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers, Elvin, Vernell and Lawrence Ramsey; two sisters, Mildred Terrell and Florence Ramsey and a son-in-law, James Moss.

Funeral services were held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Du Quoin, Ill. on Saturday, Dec. 26, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Leon Kelly and Reverend Jesse Davis officiating. Interment was in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Du Quoin, Ill.

Friends called at Pyatt Funeral Home, Du Quoin, Ill. on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
