Loretta Louise West
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Loretta Louise West, 62, of Tamaroa, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at 8:33 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010, at her residence with her family by her side.
Loretta was born April 28, 1947 at Du Quoin to Orville and Maud (Jones) Harris.
Loretta was a homemaker and loved being with her "babies" and all the "extras" that came along.
God blessed her with a beautiful singing voice that she loved to share with others. She was obedient to God's plan of salvation and was added to the Lord's church in 1999.
Survivors include her sons- Michael Draege of Du Quoin, Thomas (Jennifer) Alvis of Tamaroa, Danny (Brande) Alvis of Du Quoin, Scott (Amy) Alvis and Timothy (Nikki) Alvis, all of Tamaroa, daughter- Cindy Jo Alvis of Du Quoin, sister- Carolyn (Darryl) Copus of Tamaroa, three brothers- Raymond (Bonita) Harris of Royalton, Richard (Sue) Harris of Tamaroa, Greg (Wally) Harris of Du Quoin, special sister- Donna Beckham of Du Quoin, 22 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son- Robert Taylor, daughter- Kimberly Clark, grandson- Nicholas Clark, granddaughter-in-law- Zakia Davis, great granddaughter- Ashanti Hilliard.
Funeral services were at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2010 at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa with Jeffrey Tucker and Sammy Loyd officiating.
Friends called from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.
Burial was in the Antioch Cemetery at Tamaroa.
Friends may make memorials to the Washington County Hospital and will be accepted at the funeral home.
