</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Faye A. Magers, 80, of Chester, IL, died June 11, 2010, at Barnes Hospital, St. Louis, MO.

The daughter of Oscar and Laura (Ebers) Hartenberger, she was born October 2, 1929 in Chester, IL.

On July 1, 1967, she married Dan L. Magers in Chester, IL, and he preceded her in death in 2004.

Faye had worked at the Chester Clinic as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant for 42 years, retiring in 1991. She was a life-long member of St. John Lutheran Church, Chester, IL, St. John Lutheran Missionary League, Vacation Bible School volunteer, life member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, life member of VFW Auxiliary Post #3553, life member of Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, Chester Women's Club, Chester Concert Association, Popeye Fan Club, Steamboatin' Society of America, and St. Louis Zoo Friends Association.

Survivors include her twin sister, Fern (Robert) Wesbecher of Hannibal, MO; sister-in-law, Mary Hartenberger of Perryville, MO; nieces-Pamela (Michael) Ginsbert of Hannibal, MO, Karen (Bruce) Lowry of St. Mary's, MO, Brenda (Steve) Rahlfs of Arnold, MO, and Donna (Rick) Ebers of Steeleville, IL; great nephews & nieces-Joshua (Tiffany) Rahlfs, Philip (Kathryn) Rahlfs, Eric (Katie) Ebers, Jacob Wesbecher, Laura (Lucas) Judlowe, Emma Ginsberg, Sara Ebers, and Kate Lowry; great-great nephews & niece-Liam and Eagan Rahlfs, Triston Rahlfs, and Norah Rahlfs; special extended family, Dale & Marsha Link and Larry & Andrea Costilow. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, Roger and Donald Hartenberger; one niece, Mary Ann Wesbecher; and one great nephew, Adam Lowry.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at St. John Lutheran Church, Chester, IL, with Rev. Mark Willig officiating. Burial was in the Paradise Cemetery, Steeleville, IL.

Memorials may be given to the St. John Lutheran School "New Facility Fund", St. Louis Zoo Friends Association Tribute Fund, or the Randolph County Humane Society, Sparta, IL.
