Josephine Gibbons

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Josephine "Mama Jo" Gibbons, 84, of Sesser, passed away Monday, June 7 at Helia Health Care in Benton.

She had been a seamstress.

Mrs. Gibbons was born in Rend City, Ill. to Herbert and Lena (Cockrum) Brown. She was married to Charles Martin then to Bob Gibbons. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary in Sesser.

She is survived by her children, Patty and Perry Clevenger of Sesser, Riki Martin and Tim Turner of Naples, Fla., Frankie and Ronna Martin of Du Quoin, Ill., Jody and Shelia Martin of Naples, Fla. and Melissa Basso and Joel Aiken of Mulkeytown; grandchildren, Marty Harmon, Alisa Square, Dana Hammond, Jeffery Harmon, Mike Mitchell, Josh Adkins, Kyle Martin, Mallory Yeager, Jonathan Martin, Samantha Martin, Megan Basso and Michael Basso; 11 great- grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two husbands.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 12 at Brayfield-Gilbert Funeral Home in Sesser with Mark Miller officiating. Interment was in Maple Hill Cemetery in Sesser, Ill.

Visitation was from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday at the Funeral Home.
