</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Grace Murden, 92, of Murphysboro, IL, died July 21, 2010, at Helia Healthcare in Carbondale, IL.
The daughter of Louis Loy and Elizabeth (Shields) Korando, she was born July 6, 1918 in Jacob, IL.
On June 7, 1947, she married Earl Murden in Ava, IL, and he preceded her in death in 1996. She later spent seven years together with Charles A. Aldridge, a very special friend at Wolf Lake, IL, and he preceded her in death in January 2010.
Grace was a retired Seamstress from St. Louis Shoe Factory. She was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Murphysboro, the Randolph County Home Extension, Chester Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, and Chester Women's Club.
Survivors include one sister, Betty Lou Korando of Murphysboro; one sister-in-law, Mickey Korando of Murphysboro; and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; special friend, Charles Aldridge; one sister, Cecelia Corabie; and four brothers-Louis Eugene Korando, Joseph Sylvester Korando, Leo Benedict Korando, and Cliff Korando.
Funeral services were held Monday, July 26, 2010, at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Murphysboro, with Rev. Gary Gummersheimer officiating. Burial was in the Ava Evergreen Cemetery, Ava, IL.
Memorials may be given to St. Andrew's Catholic Church or for Masses.
