Sandra (Rader) Thomas 69

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Sandra (Rader) Thomas 69, was born in Chester, Illinois to the late George & Sylvia Rader. She died Sept. 8, 2010 at the Leake County Extended Care in Carthage, MS. She battled C.O.P.D. for many years.

She married Lewis Guy Thomas, who preceded her in death in 1997.

Over many years together they owned and operated numerous stores in Illinois and Mississippi.

Sandra was a very hard worker who loved to laugh, smile, and enjoyed life to the fullest. She truly had a heart of gold.

Survivors include one daughter Linda Thomas Callahan and one son Steven Thomas both of Lena, MS. One granddaughter Lana Sprayberry Johnson of Marydell, MS, one grandson Trevor Guy Thomas and one great grandson Rylan Walt Johnson, three sisters Sharon Ramsey of Chester, Wanda (Gary) Thornton of Marissa, IL, Della (Ed) Word of Vicksburg, MS, two brothers George Rader Jr. of Vicksburg, MS, Russell (Linda) Rader of Chester, IL, many special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and one Aunt Martha Rader Dugan of West Pueblo, CO.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one daughter Nikki Sue Frazier, one sister June Marie Rader, two brothers Cpl. Charles Wayne Rader, killed in Vietnam, and Wib P. Rader.

Funeral services were held Saturday, September 11, 2010 at Wilcox Funeral Home in Carthage, MS, with Pastor Danny Dickerson officiating. Burial was in Good Hope, MS.
