</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Robert L. Templeton, age 76, of Pinckneyville, Ill., passed away on Monday, Oct. 25, 2010 at 10:55 a.m. in Pinckneyville Community Hospital, Pinckneyville, Ill.
Bob was born on April 13, 1934 in Pinckneyville, Ill., a son to John "Craig" and Myrtle (Bauersachs) Templeton. He was a veteran having served in the United States Army from 1954 - 1956 stationed in Germany. He married Wilma Jean Leich and together they shared 54 years. In his lifetime, he was a farmer and coal miner working for Arch of Illinois Captain Mine, as well as, a member of the U.M.W.A., and a member of the First United Presbyterian Church, Pinckneyville, IL. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trapping, but especially loved spending time with is grandkids and watching them play sports.
Survivors include his wife, Wilma Jean Templeton; two sons, Robert G. (Barbie) Templeton and David C. (Lea Anne) Templeton, all of Pinckneyville, Ill.; a daughter, Jeanne (Barry) Morris of Nashville, Ill.; eight grandchildren, Brett and Greg Templeton of Pinckneyville, Ill., John Craig Templeton of Coulterville, Ill., William Templeton of Fort Carson, Colo., and Mackenzie Templeton of Pinckneyville, Ill., Brendan Morris of Austin, Tex., Blaine and Jenna Morris of Nashville, Ill.; his twin brother and best friend, William C. (JoAnn) Templeton of Pinckneyville, Ill.; and two nieces, Florine Templeton Epplin of St. Louis, Mo. and Janice (Ray) Holmes of Golden, Ill..
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services were held First United Presbyterian Church, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Friday, Oct. 29, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. with Reverend Charles Waldon officiating. Interment was in Galum Presbyterian Cemetery, Pinckneyville, Ill.
Friends called at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Friday at the First United Presbyterian Church, Pinckneyville, Ill. from 8:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
Memorial donations may be made to the First United Presbyterian Church, Pinckneyville, Ill. or Galum Cemetery Association, Pinckneyville, Ill.
