Mabel A. Dobel Yeakel
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Mabel A. (Williams) Dober Yeakel, 85, of Mendota, died Sept. 15, 2010 in Rockford Memorial Hospital.
Services were at 11 a.m. Tuesday in United Pentecostal Church, Mendota with Revs. Charles Yeakel and Harold Koonce officiating. Burial was in Restland Memorial Gardens, Mendota.
Vistation was from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the church. Schwarz Funeral Home, Mendota, provided arrangements.
She was born Feb. 13, 1925 in Du Quoin to Leslie and Marie (Haycraft) Williams. She married Henry Dober on Feb. 19, 1942 in Perryville, Mo. He died on Feb. 20, 1987. She married Donald Yeakel on April 16, 1994; hed died May 20, 2002.
She worked as a cook for many years at Mendota Lutheran Home, retiring in 1987. She established the Pentecostal Church in her home in 1974 and was a cornerstone of the Mendota congregation.
She is survived by three sons, Harold (Bea) Dober of Ladd, Rickey (Rose) Dober of Medina, Ohio and Darrell (Jill) Dober of Mendota; one daughter, Linda (Richard) Bartman of Princeton; two stepdaughters, Gerry (John) Lohmann of Effingham and Donna (Ronald) Goodwin of Bloomington; one stepson, Rev. Charles (Devra) Yeakel of Mendota; eight grandchildren; nine step-grand children; 11 great-grandchildren; 16 step-great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; one step-great-great-grandchild and two brothers, Bill Williams of Texas and Bob (Mary) Williams of Cuba, Ill.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by one son, Ronald Dober; two grandsons; one great-grandson and three brothers, Herb, Jess and Don Williams.
Pallbearers were her grandsons, Brandon, Jeff, Josh and Randy Dober, Loren Bird and Jacob Bivens.
