Frank Albert Goetz

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Frank Albert Goetz, age 89 of Pinckneyville, Ill., passed away on Monday, Oct. 18, 2010 at 9:57 a.m. in Randolph County Care Center, Sparta, Ill.

Frank was born on Aug. 29, 1921 in Vergennes, Ill., a son to Ernest and Lucille (Hepp) Goetz. On Nov. 2, 1948, he married Lela Mae Crawford in Piggott, Ark. and she survives. Frank was a veteran of the United States Army, proudly serving during WW II. He was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Pinckneyville, Ill., farmed and was a talented carpenter. He enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family,

Frank is survived by his wife; one son, Jerry (Betty Lou) Goetz of Sparta, Ill.; one daughter, Shirley (Darrell) Schweizer of Coulterville, Ill.; two grandchildren, Darwin (Chawn) Jausel and Carman Jausel; three great-grandchildren, Cale, Grant, and Asher Jausel, one sister-in-law, Roberta Goetz of Oraville, Ill.; and many dear relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Elmer Goetz; and one son-in-law, Vincent Jausel.

Funeral services were held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Friday, Oct. 22, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Cindy Bean officiating. Interment was in Creek Paum Cemetery, Vergennes, Ill. Military graveside rites were by Presswood-Daffron American Legion Post #2504.

Friends called at Pyatt Funeral Home on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.
