John H. Killion
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[John H. Killion, 68, of Ava, passed away at 7:45 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010 at St. Joseph Memorial Hospital in Murphysboro, Ill.
He was born June 26, 1942 in Ava, Ill. the son of Harry Killion and Helen (Wilson) Killion.
John married Martha Frances Roseme on Aug. 4, 1962 at Pleasant Hill Christian Church in Murphysboro, Ill.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Killion of Ava; one son, James and Sherri Killion of Ava; one daughter, Kathleen and Jimmy Doty of Ava; grandchildren, Clayton, Lorrie and Harrison Killion and Ethan, Evan and Cameron Doty; mother-in-law, Martha Roseme of Ava; sisters-in-law, Patsy and Gale Garver of Ava and Marsha Roseme of Murphysboro and a host of cousins.
John was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, Frank Roseme and one sister-in-law, Phyllis Higgerson.
He was an Appraiser and Real Estate Broker, owning Killion Farm Real Estate. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Murphysboro and attended Crain Baptist Church in Ava.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Nov. 7 at 1 p.m. at Wilson's Funeral Home in Ava with Rev. Gilbert Gee officiating. Burial was at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Murphysboro.
Visitation was Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Wilson's Funeral Home in Ava and again Sunday from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
