Gayle Ann Bytnar

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Gayle Ann Bytnar, 68, of Du Quoin, passed away at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, November 25, 2010 at her residence.

Gayle was a homemaker. She and her husband are the owners of Ye Olde Country Store Ice Cream/Fudge Shop in Du Quoin. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Du Quoin. She was an avid antique collector and Coke memorabilia collector.

She was born March 31, 1942 at Chicago, Ill., the daughter of Russell Laverne and Gertrude (Selby) Lively.

She married Robert F. Bytnar on April 5, 1975 at Du Quoin, Ill. and he survives.

She is survived by her husband of Du Quoin, three daughters - Lynna Alderson and husband Barry of Du Quoin, April Mitchell and husband Tim of Carbondale, and Bobbi Bytnar of Du Quoin, two brothers - Ronnie Lively and Gable Lively, both of Du Quoin, two sisters - Mary Craig of Vergennes and Shirley Winters of Pinckneyville, five grandchildren - Alexis Mitchell, Dakota Mitchell, Scout Mitchell, Tristin Mitchell, and Breanna Bytnar.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers - Richard Dean Lively, Jimmy Cavins, and Donnie Cavins.

Mass of Christian Burial was at 10:00 a.m., Monday, Nov. 29, 2010 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Du Quoin with Fr. Nick Junker officiating.

Friends called from 5 to 8 p.m., Sunday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.

Burial was in the Sunset Memorial Park at Du Quoin.

Friends may make memorials to the American Cancer Society and will be accepted at the funeral home.
