Georgia Mae Swallows Harrison

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Georgia Mae Swallows Harrison, 79, of Du Quoin, passed away at 5:15 a.m., Sunday, Dec. 19, 2010 at her residence.

Georgia was a homemaker. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Du Quoin.

She was born December 23, 1930 at Jefferson City, Mo., the daughter of Charles V. and Dollie (Nilges) Gallop.

Georgia married James R. Swallows on July 28, 1951 at St. Louis, Mo. and he passed away Sept. 2, 1982. She then married Marion I. Harrison on June 13, 1995 at Crystal Beach, Fla. and he passed away Feb. 6, 2010.

She is survived by two sons- Todd Swallows of Texas and Scott Swallows of Iowa, daughter- Sally Miller of Wisconsin, two step daughters- Patricia Schaper and Connie Harrison, both of Pinckneyville, six grandchildren- Joshua Swallows, Rebecca Hoss, Luke Miller, Jena Miller, Christina Schaper and John Schaper, great granddaughter- Emma Jo Hoss.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, and sister- Mildred Miller.

Memorial services were at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010 at the First United Methodist Church in Du Quoin with Rev. Michael Ebersohl officiating.

Burial was in the Sunset Memorial Park at Du Quoin.

Friends may make memorials to the Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be accepted at the funeral home.
