Paul E. Kuberski Sr.
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[With his family by his side at the Washington County Hospital in Nashville, Paul E. Kuberski Sr., 76, of Tamaroa, went to meet his Lord and Savior at 1:05 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2011.
Paul had been a farmer. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at Tamaroa. He was a member of the Perry County Farm Bureau and was Director for over 30 years. He was a member of the Tamaroa Fire Protection District Board for 26 years. Paul was also a member of the District 211 School Board for several years. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
He was born April 26, 1934 at Tamaroa, Ill., the son of Louis and Barbara (Rybacki) Kuberski.
He married Caroline M. Ratajczyk on May 11, 1955 at Scheller, Ill. and she survives.
He is survived by his wife of Tamaroa, one son - Paul Kuberski, Jr. and wife Chris of Tamaroa, two daughters - Diane Valentine and husband Ron of Tamaroa and Sharon Spotanski and husband David of Troy, Ill., two sisters - Helen Perjak of Ashley and Bernice Frost and husband Lawrence of Cahokia, Ill., three brothers - Jerry Kuberski and wife Cindy of Union City, Tenn., Clarence Kuberski of Tamaroa and James Kuberski and wife Kathy of Du Quoin, eight grandchildren - Erin Spotanski, Jonathan Spotanski and James Spotanski, all of Troy, Ill., Danielle Valentine, Adam Valentine, Joshua Kuberski, Zachary Kuberski and Mara Kuberski, all of Tamaroa.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother in infancy - Lawrence Kuberski.
Mass of Christian Burial was at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at Tamaroa with Fr. Brian Barker and Fr. Jim VanOss officiating.
Friends called from 5 to 8 p.m., Friday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.
Rosary was prayed at 7:30 p.m., Friday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.
Burial was in the St. Barbara's Cemetery at Scheller, Ill.
Military graveside rites were conducted by the Du Quoin V.F.W. and American Legion.
Friends may make memorials to the St. Barbara's Cemetery or Masses and will be accepted at the funeral home.
