</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Charles W. Wahl, 73, of Sparta, Illinois, passed away at 8:30 pm, Monday, February 7, 2011 at his residence.

He was born to the late John and Marie (nee Zweigart) Wahl on December 15, 1937 in Evansville, Illinois.

He married Joyce Ramsey on December 5, 1964 in Perryville, Missouri; she survives.

He was U.M.W.A. and worked for Local 1820 at Peabody Coal for 18 years.

He was of Baptist Faith. He was a great mechanic and loved to work on lawn mowers and cars.

IL, Ruth Beare Chester, IL, Pearl (Earl) Hartmann Ellis Grove, IL; 1 Brother Earl (Alma)Wahl Ellis Grove; 5 Grandchildren: Geoffrey (Kellie) Wahl, Eric Biesterfeld, Erica Biesterfeld, Cheyanne Wahl, Brock Stinson; 3 Great Grandchildren: Alex Maes, Jaxson Wahl & Ryland Welge

Preceded in death by: Parents, 1 Brother - Benny Wahl & 1 Sister - Fern Wahl

Funeral Service was hgeld at 10:00 am, Saturday, February 12, 2011 at Welge-Pechacek Funeral Home, Evansville, IL

Officiating: Pastor Tim McIntyre

Visitation was held Friday, 4:00 - 8:00 pm and Saturday, 8:00 am - 10:00 am at Welge-Pechacek Funeral Home, Evansville, IL

Interment: Union Cemetery Sparta, Illinois
