Charles A. Fleming
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Charles A. Fleming, 72, of Du Quoin, passed away at 6:40 a.m., Monday, May 14, 2012 at his residence.
Chuck had been a bus driver for District 300 Schools for 29 years. He was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Du Quoin. He was also a member of the Sons of the American Legion.
He was born on July 25, 1939 at Du Quoin, Ill., the son of Kenneth D. and Margaret (Shupert) Fleming.
He married Georgia E. McMillin on June 11, 1958 at Clinton, Ill. and she survives.
He is survived by his wife of Du Quoin, one son - Michael Fleming and wife Vanessa of Du Quoin, mother - Jackie Fleming of Du Quoin, three grandchildren - Michael Fleming and wife Jean of West Frankfort, Kenney Fleming of Du Quoin and Ashley Sneed and husband David of Murphysboro, two great grandchildren - Sydney Fleming and Pierson Shelton, two brothers - David Fleming and wife Jalena and Dana Fleming and wife Rhonda, all of Du Quoin, one sister - Vicky Holmes and husband Wayne of Du Quoin, brother-in-law and sister-in-law - Earl and Jean McMillin of Cornland, Ill., nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one son - Steven Fleming.
Graveside services were at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, May 17, 2012 at the Sunset Memorial Park in Du Quoin with Rev. Kent Eaton officiating.
Those attending the service were asked to go directly to the cemetery.
Burial was in the Sunset Memorial Park at Du Quoin.
Friends may make memorials to Hospice of Southern Illinois or Second Baptist Church Building Fund and will be accepted at the funeral home.
