Claudia Ann (Westerhouse) Foley

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Claudia Ann (Westerhouse) Foley, 62, of Herrin, formerly of Du Quoin, passed away at 9:12 a.m., Sunday, June 17, 2012 at the Herrin Hospital at Herrin.

Claudia was an electronic engineer and had worked on jet airplane systems. She also delivered the Du Quoin Evening Call. She was a member of the Christian church. She enjoyed fishing with her mother at the Du Quoin State Fairgrounds.

She was born Feb. 27, 1950 at Lafayette, Ind., the daughter of Charles F. and Nita H. (Davis) Westerhouse.

She married John J. Foley and he preceded her in death on Sept. 10, 1994.

She is survived by one son - Sean J. Foley of Herrin, Ill., her mother - Nita H. Westerhouse of Du Quoin, one step daughter - Tara Engel of Massachusetts, one brother - Charles "Chuck" P. Westerhouse and wife Rebecca of Taylorville, Ill., three sisters - Mary Lou Rush and husband Tim of Coral Gables, Fla., Laura Skorczewski and husband John of Nashville and Jayne Keniston and husband Ned of Reynolds, Ind., one step grandson, one step granddaughter, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, husband, paternal grandparents and maternal grandparents.

Per Claudia's request, cremation services were held.

There will be no public visitation or funeral.

Burial will be at a later date at the Buffalo Cemetery at Buffalo, Ind.

Friends may make memorials to the American Cancer Society and will be accepted at the funeral home.
