Virginia Lueker

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Virginia Lueker, age 86, of Pinckneyville, Ill., passed away on Friday, June 29, 2012 at 1:59 p.m. in Clark Regional Medical Center, Winchester, Ky.

Virginia was born on September 15, 1925 in Venedy, Ill., the daughter of Fred and Marie (Steinkamp) Blumhorst. On October 11, 1947, she married Frederick "Fred" Lueker in St. John United Church of Christ, Johannesburg, Ill. and he preceded her in death on March 11, 2002. Virginia was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Pinckneyville, Ill., Eastern Star and V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals, Pinckneyville Panther and Kentucky Wildcat fan and dearly loved caring for her family, especially her grandchildren.

Virginia is survived by one son, Thomas (Shirley) Lueker of Mt. Sterling, Ky; four grandchildren, Tricia (Richard) Lueker - Rich, T.J. (Erin) Lueker, Jeremy (Eve) Lueker and Dustin (Melissa) Lueker; two great grandchildren, Jackson Lueker and Nolan Rich; one sister, Marion Helms of Breese, Ill.; daughter-in-law, Cherie Lueker of Pinckneyville, Ill. and her beloved cat, Bernice.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Jerome "Jerry" Lueker and one brother, Ralph Blumhorst.

Funeral services will be held at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Ron Kreid officiating. Interment will be in Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, Ill.

Friends may call at St. Paul United Church of Christ, 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.

Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children.
