</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Darlene S. Lailer, 71, of Chester, passed away at 9:15 pm, Wednesday, July 10, 2012 at the Memorial Hospital in Chester.
Darlene was born in Baldwin, IL on January 4, 1941 the daughter of Herman and Sophia Stegman Hartman. She married Frank E. Lailer on September 24, 1976 at Chester, IL. Darlene was a cook at St. Ann's Healthcare in Chester and was a Homemaker. She was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church in Chester and a life member of the D.A.V. Auxiliary #69, Murphysboro, IL.
Darlene is survived by her husband, Frank E. Lailer of Chester; five children, Michael Lailer of Neely Landing, MO, Anthony Lailer of Perryville, MO, Lisa Meade of Chester, Cynthia Albert of Prairie du Rocher, IL and Lorena Pfaff of Prairie du Rocher, IL; 15 grandchildren; brother, Herman Hartman of Campbell Hill, IL; sister, Elaine Rinder of Chester; several nieces and nephews.
Darlene was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson; and one step son.
Graveside service were held on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at 1:45 p.m. at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO with Rev. Mark Willig officiating. Burial will follow there.
