Iola Mae Kuhnert

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Iola Mae Kuhnert, age 88, of Pinckneyville, Ill., went to heaven on Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2012 at 5:15 a.m. in Coulterville Care Center, Coulterville, Ill.

Iola Mae was born on May 9, 1924 in Jamestown, Ill., a daughter to Dwight and Iva Ellen (Ryan) Rushing. On June 28, 1946, she married Leslie Richard "Les" Kuhnert in Pinckneyville, Ill. and he preceded her in death on Sept. 3, 2003. Iola was a member of Beaucoup Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, Ill. and was very active in church activities including teaching Sunday School, Training Union and Vacation Bible School.

Iola Mae enjoyed cooking, sewing, canning, fishing, singing and baking, and she dearly loved spending time with and caring for her husband, children and grandchildren.

Iola is survived by four children, Elizabeth Ellen "Beth" Elam of Norris City, Ill., Donna Sue (Dave) Hicks of Pinckneyville, Ill., Richard Leslie "Rick" (Marsha) Kuhnert of Pinckneyville, Ill. and Linda Mae (Rob) Beck of Belleville, Ill.; 14 grandchildren, Chad Elam, Darla Hicks, Dirk Hicks, Darin (Katie) Hicks, Emily (Peter) Prikazsky, Craig Kuhnert, Ericka (Joseph) Thomason, Kevin (Joelle) Beck, BJ (Josie) Beck, Lindsay Beck, Rebecca Beck, David Beck, Suzannah Beck and Timothy Beck; seven great grandchildren, Matias and Titan Prikazsky, Emory, Aidan, Kayleigh and Barrett Thomason and Laiken Beck; one brother, Bob (Deloris) Rushing of Pinckneyville, Ill.; many dear nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Jason Elam; a granddaughter, Ashley Beck; great granddaughter, Addison Prikazsky; three brothers, Orval Rushing, Kenneth Rushing and Clifford Rushing and a sister, Mildred Lueker.

Funeral services will be held at Beaucoup Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Mark Lee officiating. Interment will be in Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, Ill.

Friends may call at Beaucoup Baptist Church on Monday, 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Memorial donations may be made to Beaucoup Baptist Church Building Fund, Pinckneyville, Ill.
