Nancy Hill

Nancy "Joy" Hill, age 75, of Pinckneyville, Ill., passed away on Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012 at 1:20 a.m. in Pinckneyville Community Hospital, Pinckneyville, Ill.

Joy was born on April 21, 1937 in Ashley, Ill., a daughter to Kenneth and Eula (Thornton) Davis. On Nov. 8, 1958, she married Paul Dean Hill in the First Pentecostal Church, Pinckneyville, Ill. and he survives. She was a member of New Hope Community Church, Pinckneyville, Ill. and was a homemaker and ran a daycare in her home for 12 years. Joy enjoyed quilting and volunteer work and had earned an award for her quilt making as a part of her volunteer work. She also enjoyed collecting Cabbage Patch Dolls and dearly loved spending time with her family and friends.
