Carole A. Krone

Carole A. Krone, 64, of Tamaroa, passed away at 4:36 a.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at her residence.

Carole had worked for Perry County Gold Plate in Du Quoin as an In-Home Supervisor for 18 years. She was of the Baptist faith. Carole was a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary.

She was born May 17, 1949 at Du Quoin, Ill., the daughter of Arthur and Florence (Martin) Ray.

She married Paul Krone on Nov. 8, 1969 at Du Quoin, Ill. and he survives.

She is survived by her husband of Tamaroa, three sons - Gene Krone of Du Quoin, Jason Krone of Loves Park, Ill. and Paul Krone and wife Casey of Pinckneyville, her father - Arthur Ray and wife Juanita of Du Quoin, two grandchildren - Dakota Krone and Gage Krone, two sisters - Joan Cavins and husband Roger of Crete, Ill. and Suzanne Majewski and husband Mike of Du Quoin, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 9, 2014 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Pastor Cindy Bean officiating.

Friends may call from 8 a.m. until the time of service on Friday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.

Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Park at Du Quoin.

Friends may make memorials to the Perry County Gold Plate and will be accepted at the funeral home.
