Kevin E. Newton

Kevin E. Newton, 58, of Du Quoin, passed away at 8:40 P.M., Friday, October 30, 2015 at the home of his brother-in-law in Du Quoin.

Kevin had been an over-the-road truck driver. He was a volunteer fireman in Columbia, IL.

He was born February 7, 1957 at E. St. Louis, IL, the son of Clyde and Mabel (Sellinger) Newton.

He is survived by his brother-in-law - Donald Shockley of Du Quoin, one niece - Donna Lively of Du Quoin, one nephew - Donald Shockley of Pinckneyville, great nieces and great nephews and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister - Terry Shockley.

Memorial services will be at 7:00 P.M., Thursday, November 5, 2015 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Rob Mathis officiating.

Friends may call from 5 to 7 P.M., Thursday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.

Graveside services will be at 10:30 A.M., Friday at the Valhala Gardens of Memory in Belleville, IL.

Burial will be in the Valhala Gardens of Memory in Belleville, IL.

Friends may make memorials to the Pinckneyville Community Hospital and will be accepted at the funeral home.
