Obituary for Mildred Rose Dial

MILDRED ROSE DIAL, 93, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at <span class="aBn"><span class="aQJ">5:30 p.m.</span></span>, Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at Sparta Community Hospital in Sparta, Illinois.

She was born to the late Louie and Rose (nee Bredthauer) Fuss on June 21, 1922, in Valley County, NE.

Mildred married Billie M. Dial on August 4, 1946 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Ord, Nebraska. He preceded her in death on January 10, 2013.

She was a retired school teacher. She taught at St. John Lutheran School in Chester, Illinois for 15 years and then taught another 17 years at Sparta before retiring in 1985.

Mildred was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Chester, Illinois; the Lutheran Woman's Missionary League, Beta Nu Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, and was a member and Past President of the Chester Woman's Club.

She had fond memories of their family travels including visits to every state in the U.S., Canada, Europe and Israel and enjoyed bingo, reading, ice cream socials and watching Nebraska Cornhuskers football.

Survivors include one son Neal (Debra) Dial of Scottsdale, AZ; one sister-in-law Elaine Fuss<span> </span>of Grand Island, NE; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Preceded in death by parents, husband - Billie M. Dial, one daughter - Janelle Dial and two brothers - Wilbur Fuss and Dean Fuss.

Funeral Service: will be held at <span class="aBn"><span class="aQJ">10:00 am</span></span>, <span class="aBn"><span class="aQJ">Saturday, November 14, 2015</span></span> at Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home, Chester, Illinois with Rev. Timothy Sims officiating.

Visitation will take place <span class="aBn"><span class="aQJ">Friday</span></span>, <span class="aBn"><span class="aQJ">5 p.m. - 8 p.m.</span></span> and <span class="aBn"><span class="aQJ">Saturday</span></span>, <span class="aBn"><span class="aQJ">7:30 a.m. - 10 a.m.</span></span> at Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home, Chester, Illinois.
