Rose M. Bass

Rose M. Bass, age 61, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at 12:01 p.m. in Good Samaritan Hospital, Mt. Vernon, IL.

Rose was born on November 25, 1953 in Granite City, IL, a daughter to George and Catherine (Vasiloff) Heiple, Jr. On December 22, 1979, she married Theodore L. "Ted" Bass in Winkle Baptist Church, Winkle, IL and he preceded her in death on April 7, 2001. Rose was of the Baptist faith, was a homemaker and had worked as a C.N.A. for Pinckneyville Community Hospital and Skilled Care, Pinckneyville, IL. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include one daughter, Jennifer Kay (Brian) Miller of DuQuoin, IL; four grandchildren, Matt Miller (fiancee, Tori Dierks); Kelsi Miller, Rylee Miller and Bentley Miller; mother, Catherine Heiple of Winkle, IL; one sister, Cathy Gresham of Pinckneyville, IL; brother, Lester Heiple of Winkle, IL; two step-children, Douglas Allen Bass and Angela Dawn (Rob) Holder of Sesser, IL; and five step-grandchildren, Jesse Storm Griffiths, Brandan Michael Bass, Terri Jo Bass, Laci Dawn Bass and Josey Holder.

She was preceded in death by her father; husband and brother-in-law, Clark Gresham.

Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. with Brother Rob Mathis officiating. Interment will be in Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL.

Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Monday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.
