Obituary for Ruth E. (McKelvey) Bouas

Ruth E. Bouas, 97, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2016.

She was born March 1, 1918 in Coulterville, Illinois. On January 6, 1938, she married Laurence E. Bouas who preceded her in death.

A son, Laurence Keith Bouas, also preceded her in death.

Ruth was a church organist/pianist, directed choirs and assisted Laurence in operating an independent insurance agency.

She spent many years caring for family members who were experiencing various trials in their lives.

Survivors are a daughter, Merry Lee Sprague of Erskine, Minn., a son: Maury Bouas (Jean) of Kansas City, Mo., four grandchildren: Marla Johnson (Mike), Todd Sprague (Denise), Kelly Henry (Kirk), Kirby McDaniel (Mike), six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date for Laurence and Ruth in their hometown of Coulterville.
