Vernon W. Little, formerly of Du Quoin
Vernon W. Little, 75, of Troy, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Illinois.
Vernon was born on December 23, 1942 in Du Quoin and was a graduate of SIU-Carbondale. He was retired from Boeing.
He volunteered at Shriners Hospital St. Louis, repairing wheelchairs and other equipment. He was a Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader with his sons. Vernon was always ready to go fishing or ready for a camping trip with the family and enjoy just being Mr. Fix-It.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Judith (nee Weidemann) Little; son, Doug Little; parents, Vernon E. and Ruby L. (nee Prichett) Little; sister, Doris J and her husband Bill Purcell.
Surviving are his second wife, Carolyn (nee Pierce) Little of Troy; Sons, Dennis Little of Troy, Dustin (Katy) Little of Troy, David (Kelly) Pierce of Marion and Jay Pierce of WY; daughter, Nancy (David) Havens of TX; daughter-in-law, Karen Little of Troy; grandchildren, Andy, Lizzy and Evan Little; brother, Robert "Bob" (Janice) Little of Maryville.

Celebration of Vernon's life will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Friedens United Church of Christ, Troy, with Rev. Douglas Seagle officiating.
Interment will be private.
