Sunday was a busy day for area brides and grooms and their families planning future weddings and over 60 vendors turned out in Marion at The Pavilion of the City of Marion to help guide them along the way. Among them was Bobbi Barton, who has a bridal boutique in downtown Pinckneyville where she said she keeps busy providing dress needs for weddings, proms and more events "This is our fourth year to have a booth here and we just love it. We get a lot of business as a result." From the left brides to be Melissa Beauchamp, of Mounds, and Cambria Bigham, of Carbondale, got some information from Trinity Wright, of Du Quoin about Barton's Belle of the Ball Bridal and Formal Wear Boutique in Pinckneyville.

Among the 60-plus vendors at The Pavilion of the City of Marion Sunday was Marks' Bakery of Du Quoin. Theirs was a busy booth where Shayla Bevis, above, was busy handing out samples of the wide variety of wedding cake options they can provide. Asked what flavor cake was most popular, Bevis didn't hesitate, "Italian cream cake, followed closely by red velvet."
