Obituary for Jody Wingerter

JODY WINGERTER, 45, of Ellis Grove, Illinois, passed away Monday, July 11, 2016 at Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri.

She was born to Joseph V. and Bette Sue (nee Link) Scheffer, Jr. on January 22, 1971 in Chester. She married Robert "Bob" C. Wingerter on January 22, 2000 in Jersey County, Illinois; he survives.

She had worked in the accounting department at Menard Correctional Center in Chester for five years. Jody loved spending time with family and her animals, especially her dog, Izzy. She loved to go shopping.

Survivors - Husband Bob Wingerter, Ellis Grove; 2 Children - Jenna Wingerter, Ellis Grove, Jacob Wingerter, Ellis Grove; Mother Sue (Mark) Goetting, Murphysboro; Mother-in-law Sue (Glen) McGee, Chester; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Preceded in death by: Father, Father-in-law - Charlie Wingerter and 1 Aunt - Kathy Belton

Celebration of Life Service 10 a.m. Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home, Chester, with Rev. Bill McCluskey officiating.

Inurnment Ellis Grove City Cemetery, Ellis Grove.

Visitation Friday - 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. and Saturday - 7:30 a.m. - 10 a.m. at Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home, Chester.
