Lorene Fay Davison

Lorene Fay Davison, 77, of Dowell, passed away at 9:45 a.m. Sunday, July 20, 2014 at the home of her daughter in Elkville.

Lorene had been a factory worker at Tums/MCA. She was of the Baptist faith. Lorene was a member of the Du Quoin Eagles Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed raising and caring for her grandkids.

She was born Nov. 17, 1936 at Du Quoin, Ill., the daughter of Fred 'Fritz' and Lela (Williams) Dominick.

She married Bob Gibson and he preceded her in death. She then married Bob Davison and he preceded her in death.

She is survived by two daughters - Patti Klump and husband Allen of Elkville, Ill. and Julie Zoeckler and husband Chuck of Tamaroa, Ill., three sons - Roger Gibson and wife Teresa of Alto Pass, Ill., Kenny Gibson and George Davison, both of Du Quoin, one sister - Florene Walters of Du Quoin, 14 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, one son in infancy - Brian Keith Gibson, five brothers and three sisters.

A Celebration of Life service will be at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at the Christian Fellowship Church in Du Quoin with the public invited to attend.
