I'm confused. Yeah, I know, it's a chronic condition. Principal Kittell was let go with a sealed record, which allows him to seek other employment by citing differences with the school board. He was replaced by Ms. Fran (something)(. Her last name escapes me because she was only mentioned once in the paper. After only two weeks as principal, Superintendent Keim said she was doing a "great" job. Then I open up the March 24th edition of the County Journal. An article by Greg Myers states that Tim Keefe of Waterloo was hired as principal. To replace Kittell. What happened to the woman that was doing a "great" job? Did she sign a contract that allows a golden parachute when she leaves? Does the school board or Superintendent Keim owe us taxpayers an explanation?
The Southern Illinoisan recently had an article about First Lady Obama bragging about the 2,000 pounds of vegetables she raised in the White House garden. Can you visualize her with a hoe weeding all those beans and tomatoes?
I exited Wal-Mart last week at the same time a man parked next to my truck. We met halfway. He started inside Wal-Mart, turned around and hit his remote to lock his truck while I was starting to unload my cart. When his horn sounded I jumped like I was shot because I thought I was about to be run over. I hate when people don't know they have lock button in their car. Then again, he probably thought it was pretty funny when I started to dive for cover.
I'm looking for a big turnout in this election for city council and the school board. Especially for the school board. The candidates are really being frank about their disgust with the current school board and the Superintendent. Exactly what I've been saying here for months.
Sailors have more fun!
