LapSit Story Times: 10:30 a.m. on Tuesdays via Zoom. For ages birth to 5 with an adult partner. Call or email to reserve a September Story Time packet for your little ones ASAP.
Book discussion: 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1 via Zoom. Book is "Educated," a memoir by Tara Westover, who overcame her survivalist Mormon family in order to go to college, and discovered the importance of education to enlarging her world. The library has a few copies available to lend, but call soon to reserve one. Free program, but must register on the library website to participate.
Subscribe to YouTube: The Chester Public Library's YouTube Channel has recorded programs you can watch whenever you want. Last week's feature was on Mary Ann Stumpe, a kindergarten teacher at Chester Community Grade School for more than 35 years.
Story Walk: "The Very Impatient Caterpillar" story walk is available in front of the library. There are also butterfly activity packs available on the front porch (while supplies last).</h3>
<i> The library is open to the public with restrictions, from 10:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturdays. Curb service pickup for library materials and special appointments for faxing, printing and computer use is available Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings.</i>
