Dorothy Hope Ehler of Tamaroa
Dorothy Hope Ehler, 97, of Tamaroa, passed away at 1:07 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2019, at the Fairview Health and Rehabilitation Center in Du Quoin.
Dorothy worked as a seamstress at Bridal Originals in Du Quoin.
She was born Dec. 12, 1921, at Du Quoin, Illinois, the daughter of Warren and Anna (Marlow) Ehler.
She is survived by three nephews, Willard W. Ehler of Du Quoin, Leslie Ehler of Galesburg and Charles Moore of Du Quoin; two nieces, Coleen Stanley of Tamaroa and Laurell Swanson of Rio; one great-nephew, Roger Ehler of Mulkeytown; and numerous other great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; seven brothers, Jesse, Paul, Russell, Cecil, Frank, Charles and Leonard Ehler; and five sisters, Mabel Hopp, Carmen Harris, Grace Huggins, Lola Moore and Lillian Fisher.
Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2019, at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa with Bro. Arven Kirkpatrick officiating.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.
Burial will be in the Campbell Cemetery in Tamaroa.
