Harold (Harry) Denninger, formerly of Chester
Harold (Harry) Denninger, age 65, passed away at his home in rural Greenville, Illinois on Feb. 24, 2020.
Originally from Chester, Harry was born on July 8, 1954 to the late Harold and Mary Denninger. He graduated from Chester High School in 1972.
As a young man, Harry worked as a laborer on several construction projects such as the Jerry Costello Lock and Dam. Later he owned and operated Harry's Garage in Chester before becoming an over-the-road truck driver.
Besides his parents, Harry was preceded in death by his youngest son, Jeffrey, as well as his grandparents, John and Adeline Denninger, all of Chester.
He is survived by his spouse, Sherri Hibler; sister Carol (Don) Ashley; sons Harold (Monica) Denninger and John Denninger; stepdaughter Heather (Nick) Cason; six grandchildren; four step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.
In recent years, Harry greatly enjoyed crappie fishing, vegetable gardening and watching Cardinals baseball games.
A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
