Eight to run for city council in the spring
Eight candidates will vie for three seats on the Carbondale City Council in next spring's municipal election.
At the close of the filing period on Monday, the city clerk had received petitions from Nathan Colombo, Lee M. Fronabarger, Dawn Roberts, Brian Stanfield, Jason M. Endicott and Dr. Ryan James Reed Sr., as well as incumbents LaCaje Hill and Ginger Rye Sanders.
No primary will be required. The election will be held on Tuesday, April 1.
Nominating petitions submitted by the candidates are available to the public for review in the city clerkâs office. The last day to file objections to petitions is Monday, Nov. 4.
Colombo, Fronabarger, Roberts and Stanfield will be the subject of a lottery to determine the top spots on the ballot. The ballot placement lottery will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, in the foyer of city hall. The public is welcome to attend.
