Cyrus McConnell Jr., formerly of Hardin County

Cyrus McConnell Jr., 100, of Millbrook, Ala., formerly of Hardin County, Ill., passed away Aug. 25, 2024, at Prattville Baptist Hospital. He was a retired veteran of the United States Navy.

Survivors include his daughters, Judy Kennedy, Kathy Suzanne McConnell and Maxine June McConnell; grandson Christopher (Rachel) Kennedy; and two step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonita Kathlene McConnell; son Jerry McConnell; grandson Gregory Bartley; brother Leroy McConnell; and son-in-law Ray Kennedy.

Services took place Thursday, Aug. 29 at Hardin County Funeral Service in Rosiclare with interment in Cave Hill Cemetery.
