The Little Resource Center of Carbondale at 801 E. Walnut St. has been recognized with a Bright Spot Award from Keep Carbondale Beautiful, a local affiliate of the national nonprofit Keep America Beautiful. Originally the site of a Clarkâs gas station, the building (across the street from the new Ashley Furniture Center) was vacant for the last five years until the Little Resource Center relocated there on April 1. In addition to a facelift of the existing building, there is a mural on the west side of the building painted by Jamarr Terrell McZeke.
