Briefs: Chamber dinner, spring cleanup days, city yard sale

<b>Tickets on sale for Chamber dinner</b>

Tickets are now available for the Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner Friday, June 17, at Chester Country Club. Citizen of the Year and Business Person of the Year will be awarded. There will also be a 50/50 drawing and a gun raffle. Tickets are $25 and are available for purchase at Buena Vista Bank uptown or by seeing Bob at Rozier's. <b>Date change for spring cleanup days</b>

Chester's Spring Cleanup Days will be held June 20, 21, 23, and 24 on your regular trash pickup day. City employees - not the trash company - will pick up your items; do not block the trash tote. This is a one-time pickup per household. Items cannot cover more than a 10 x 5 x 2-foot area. You must call (618) 826-3712 in advance to schedule your pickup; elderly or disabled residents should call (618) 826-5114 to schedule a special pickup.

Items not accepted: electronics, remodeling debris, roofing materials, tires, chemicals, oils, batteries, general household trash, yard waste, hazardous waste materials, paint (will accept dried paint cans). Call (618) 826-3712.

<b>Farmers market back on Saturdays</b>
