Carol May McCormick of Evansville

Carol May McCormick, 75, of Evansville, Illinois, passed away at 11:05 a.m. on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at Three Springs Lodge Nursing Home in Chester, Illinois.

She was born to the late Ward and Garnetta (nee Moll) McCormick on May 6, 1946 in Red Bud, Illinois.

She worked at Chester Mental Health. Carol was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Evansville.

She is survived by a sister, Brenda (Frank) Oakley of Ellis Grove, Illinois; two brothers, John (Dee) McCormick of Asheville, North Carolina and Gene McCormick of Evansville, Illinois; nine nieces and nephews, Justin (Amanda) McCormick of Fishers, Indiana, Zachary Lee of Farmington, Missouri, Jessica McCormick (fiance Adam West) of Cobden, Illinois, Rebecca Lee of Farmington, Missouri, Seth McCormick and Jacob McCormick, both of Asheville, North Carolina, Destiny Kelly of Percy, Illinois, Jaylyn McCaleb of Chester, Illinois and Paul Oakley Jr. of Dupo, Illinois; many great-nieces and great-nephews; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Norma Lee.

Carol's memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at Pechacek Funeral Homes of Evansville, Illinois, with Fr. Steven Pautler officiating. Inurnment will be at Ellis Grove City Cemetery in Ellis Grove, Illinois.

Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home in Evansville.

Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
