Donna Kay Norris, formerly of southern Illinois

Donna Kay Norris, age 68, of Hueytown, Alabama, passed away at 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 in Elite Nursing and Rehab, Birmingham, Alabama.

Donna was born on Sept. 16, 1953 in Herrin, Illinois, a daughter to Lloyd Sr. and Ruth Ann (Roberts) Sullins. On Aug. 3, 1973, she married Robert William Norris in White Ash, Illinois and he preceded her in death on June 8, 2021 after almost 48 years of marriage.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Hueytown, Alabama. She enjoyed cross-stitch, puzzles and traveling, and dearly loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include her two sons, Travis (Jennifer) Norris of Hueytown, Alabama and Trevor Norris (Lauren Turner) of Hoover, Alabama; a daughter, Cathleen (Casey) Pugh of Hueytown, Alabama; three brothers, Dick (Marilyn) Sullins of Marion, Illinois, Ralph (Sandy) Sullins of Marion, Illinois and Harvey (Pam) Sullins of Spring Hill, Tennessee; two sisters, Peggy (Jim) Poole of West Frankfort, Illinois and Debbie Sullins of Pelham, Alabama; a brother-in-law, Edward (Kay) Norris of Auburn, Illinois; a sister-in-law, Donna Sue Weis of Du Quoin, Illinois; and four grandchildren, Kyle Norris, Justin Norris, Kayla Norris and Wayne Pugh.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two infant children, Shane Norris and Rachel Norris; and three brothers, Lloyd Sullins Jr., Jim Sullins and Jon Sullins.

Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home in Du Quoin, at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2022. Donna's sister, Debbie Sullins, will officiate. Burial will be in Old Du Quoin Cemetery, in Du Quoin.

Visitation will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home in Du Quoin on Saturday from 11 a.m. to, 1 p.m..
