<b>Tables filling fast for Night at the Races</b>

Tables are filling up fast and remaining space is limited for the Chester Chamber of Commerce's annual Night at the Races Friday, March 25, at the Chester Country Club.

Doors open at 5 p.m.; races start at 6 p.m. Call to reserve your table for six or eight; cost is $10 per person. Drinks will be available for purchase; bring your own snacks.

<b>Take guided hike of One Horse Gap on March 12</b>

The River-to-River Trail Society will hold a guided public hike Saturday, March 12, in the area between One Horse Gap Lake and One Horse Gap itself.

This hike is free and open to the public. This will be a hike of moderate difficulty, of about five miles in length. It will be a loop hike, so that no carpooling will be needed.

Hiking sticks and boots or sturdy shoes are strongly recommended. Hikers should bring their own water and a snack. No dogs, please.

Meet at 10 a.m. at the parking lot of One Horse Gap Lake. To reach the meeting place, turn west off Route 34 onto Dutton Chapel Road at Eichorn, Illinois, and proceed about five miles.

Alternatively, turn north off Route 146 at Lusk Road, between Rosiclare and Golconda, and proceed about four miles.

<b>Chester Eaglefest needs sponsors</b>

The Chester Eagles are looking for sponsors for this year's Eaglefest, which is scheduled for May 12-14.

Sponsors are recognized in newspaper ads, fliers, and radio ads, as well as on banners displayed during the picnic. Gold Sponsorship costs $100 and Silver Sponsorship is $50.

Sponsorship forms are due to the Chester Eagles, 402 Hacker St., by April 15.
