Johnston City High School FFA Post-COVID and getting back in the saddle

JOHNSTON CITY - As we return to "normal," FFA events are back in full swing. Here at Johnston City High School.

Throughout the year, we've participated in events such as equine judging and agronomy. Several members took a day trip to the Farm Progress Show in Decatur.

Most recently, we've celebrated National FFA week by joining with all JCHS students and faculty to dress up and celebrate agriculture.

Throughout the week, students joined with the FFA to wear their camouflage one day and western another. Unfortunately, the celebration was cut short by the icy weather.

Looking ahead, the strawberries we sold as a fundraiser for future events will arrive the week of March 14. The livestock judging team is gearing up for competitions this spring as well.

Our officers for this year are Grace Kemp-President, Austin Todd-Vice President, Danielle Myers - Secretary, Josie Tanner-Treasurer, Waylon Woolard-Reporter, Kadyn Martin- Sentinel, Henry Chrostoski- Parliamentarian, and Sarah Hinkle- Historian.
