Mobile market

On an extremely cold Jan. 26, the Chester Area Christian Food Pantry hosted the monthly Mobile Market at the Cohen Recreation Complex, where about 25 volunteers served clients with 67 vouchers.

Clients received a variety of food, including mixed vegetables and fruits, bacon, onions, apples, a variety of chips, Jimmy Dean pork sausage, bags of frozen burrito filler, 10 pounds of potatoes, a box of turkey meat, and a bag of shelled walnuts.

A case of liquid hand soap was also afforded each client.

The food pantry served 201 households with 468 individuals in December.

Items needed to help stock the pantry include saltine crackers, and monetary donations are also appreciated.

The next Mobile Market will be held at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 23.
