She was born on December 12, 1960 in Marion, Illinois, to Kenneth and Dolores (Craig) Roberts. She was a loving mother, devoted grandmother, and a fierce friend. She cherished her time with her grandchildren; playing board games, going to the movies and taking trips to Great Wolf Lodge. Those were just a few of the activities she loved to share with her family.

Connie worked at Liberty Mutual Insurance Company where she was beloved by her coworkers. She started her 28-year career as a programmer analyst. She later became a manager of a programmer analyst team.

Connie was an avid scuba diver. She received her Advanced Open Water at Blue Springs Quarry in 2006, and went on to qualify for 5 specialties, including Rescue Diver, thus making her eligible to be recognized as a Master Scuba Diver. She spent the last 15 years diving around the world in places like Serua, Fiji; Cozumel, Mexico; Utila, Honduras; Kona, Hawaii; Saba & St Kitts.

It was evident to anyone seeing Connie's home, she loved spending time in her yard, planting flowers and watching the hummingbirds. Several years ago she completed her training to become a Master Gardener. She used these skills for two summers volunteering her time to maintain the gardens at the Plainfield Correctional Facility.

She had an enormous love for dogs, especially Dobermans.

She was an outspoken advocate for rescue shelters. She rescued several of her own pups from the Southwest Doberman Rescue in Ohio.

Lafayette, Jared Carey (Amber) of Greenwood, Jessica Carey of Buck Creek; parents, Kenneth and Dolores Roberts of Creal Springs, IL.; sister Kathy Hancock of Marion, IL.; brother, Tracy Roberts (Ines) of Galveston, TX.; and grandchildren, Logan, Keelan, Montgomery, Gracynn, Declan, Anastasia, Quinn, and Theodora.
