Bobby Leon Chrisco Sr. of Du Quoin

Bobby Leon Chrisco Sr., 78, of Du Quoin, passed away at 12:59 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2022 at the Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin.

Bobby was a minister, who ministered at the Faith Assembly of God Church in Du Quoin for nine years and the Creal Springs Assembly of God Church for 12 to 15 years.

He was a member of the Flame of Truth Ministries and Bobby enjoyed his missionary work in Mexico and Texas.

He was born June 8, 1943 at Salem, Missouri, the son of William Arthur and Mary (Medley) Chrisco.

Bobby married Mary Marcella Grove on Nov. 18, 1961 at St. Louis, and she passed away July 16, 2019. He married Glenda E. (Clinton) Snyder on Feb. 14, 2020 at Donna, Texas and she survives.

Bobby is survived by his wife of Du Quoin; two daughters, Tina Marie (Greg) Newbold of Creal Springs and Teresa Anette (Eric) Eblin of Creal Springs; son, Bobby Leon Jr. (Pamela Renee) Chrisco of Du Quoin; a brother, James Darrel (Gail) Chrisco of Imperial Heights, Missouri; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife; son, Timothy Leon Chrisco; two brothers, Christopher Delmar Chrisco and Billy Dale Chrisco; and a sister, Rosemary Chrisco.

Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 26, 2022 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin, with the Rev. Rick Ragen officiating.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. until time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.

Visitors are asked to use social distancing guidelines, and everyone in attendance is required to wear a mask.

Burial will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery at Gillespie, Illinois.
