Leo Edward Boggess, formerly of Eldorado
Mr. Leo Edward Boggess, 80, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2021, at the home of his son in Rossville, Georgia.
Leo was born in Lansing, Michigan on May 5, 1941, to Cecil Woodrow Boggess and Fay Mahan Boggess, who both preceded him in death along with his brother, William Cecil "Sonny" Boggess.
Leo was a mining equipment repairman and had the ability to fix about anything. He built three homes for his family, sold cars and was a collectible knives dealer.
He is survived by his wife, Billie Faye Shrum; daughter, Brenda (James) Koker of Riverside, California; sons, James E. Boggess of Monteagle, Tennessee and Brandon (Jody) Boggess of Rossville, Georgia; grandchildren, J.J., Matthew, Justin, Robert, George, Steve and Samantha; great-grandchildren, Mathias, Declan, Shia and Haley; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 11 in the Layne Funeral Home chapel in Palmer, Tennessee, with Minister Jonathon Graham. Burial will follow in the Palmer Cemetery.
Visitation will be held prior to the funeral, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Layne Funeral Home, in Palmer, Tennessee.
