Christopher Todd Janway of Energy; formerly of Carrier Mills
Christopher Todd Janway, 43, of Energy, Illinois, and formerly of Carrier Mills, Illinois, died at 1:25 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 9, 2021 at his residence.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 15, 2021 with a short service to follow, at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills. Cremation will be held after the service.
He was born on April 20, 1978 in DeWitt, Arkansas to Steven Janway and Shirley (Carner) Johnson. He married Heather LeMay on March 21, 2009 after they dated for eight years.
He was a commercial painter and was currently the manager of Silver Dollar Gaming in Murphysboro, Illinois. He loved to fish, work outside especially at yard work, and watch movies with his wife.
He is survived by his wife, Heather Janway of Energy; his father, Stephen Janway of Stuttgart, Arkansas; his mother, Shirley (Leo) Johnson of Carrier Mills; a sister, Stephanie Goss of Murray, Kentucky; stepsister, Aaryanna Anderson of Harrisburg, Illinois; nephew, Jordan Patterson of Carterville, Illinois; nieces, Kaiza Glasgow of Eldorado, Illinois, Kyra Patterson of Carrier Mills, and Gabrielle Smith, Allyson Smith, Cadence Smith and Aubrie Smith, all of Carrier Mills; great-nephew, Jasper Burba of Eldorado; great-niece, Azia Anderson of Harrisburg; two mothers-in-law, Donna Denham of Energy and Mary LeMay of Wabasha, Minnesota; brother-in-law, Tad LeMay of Herrin, Illinois; special friends Robbie Reeves, Larry "Bub" Smith Jr. and Robbie Jackson; and fur babies Junior and Gracie.
He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Ted LeMay.
