Sheryl R. Miller of Du Quoin

Sheryl R. Miller, 51, of Du Quoin, passed away at 4:31 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 20, 2021 at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon.

Sheryl worked in the dietary department at the Marshall Browning Hospital. She was a member of Faith Liberty Mission Church.

She was born Oct. 31, 1969 at Du Quoin, Illinois, the daughter of Max and Judith (Watts) Voyles. She married Bill Miller and he survives.

She is survived by her husband; father; three children, Kevin Miller of Du Quoin, Stephanie (Gideon) Kirkpatrick and Heather Miller of Du Quoin; five grandchildren, Megan Miller, Madison Miller, Jonah Kirkpatrick, Judith Kirkpatrick, and Emma Kirkpatrick; and nine siblings, Charles Crispin of Murphysboro, Darrin (Kim) George of Dowell, Karen (Brett) Brooks of Albers, Kristi Peterson of Du Quoin, Yvonne (Jerry) McDonnough of Du Quoin, Rachel Voyles of Du Quoin, Larry Voyles of St. Louis, Amy Voyles of Du Quoin and Vicki Voyles of Du Quoin.

She was preceded in death by her mother; two aunts, Rose Watts and Brenda Vonderhide; and one uncle, Warren Watts.

Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 24, 2021 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with the Rev. Dean Severin officiating. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home in Du Quoin. Please use social distancing guidelines. Everyone in attendance is required to wear a mask.

Burial will be in the Old Du Quoin Cemetery in Du Quoin.

Friends may make memorials to the family and will be accepted at the funeral home.
